Job summary

Sandhills Global, Inc. in Lincoln, NE seeks a facilities technician to perform routine maintenance of buildings and systems, including grounds equipment, plumbing and basic electrical.

You will monitor maintenance requests, prioritize and respond promptly, and conduct preventative HVAC maintenance as part of the building automation system. You will coordinate with on-site contractors, respond to emergencies during the day (potentially after hours), and handle pickups and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of buildings and systems.
• Equipment and building repairs including grounds equipment, plumbing and basic electrical.
• Monitoring incoming maintenance requests, prioritizing and responding promptly.
• Performing preventive HVAC maintenance and monitoring building automation to spot issues.
• Coordinating with on-site contractors (electricians, HVAC, elevator techs, fire alarms).
• Responding to emergencies during the day and potentially after hours.
• This includes equipment for press production and data center operation.
• Pick ups and deliveries as needed at off campus locations.
• Grounds work and snow removal
• In-office role with a 4.5-day week; daily commuting to the local office is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
