Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and related equipment. The role requires diagnosing issues, reading blueprints, and coordinating with the Director on major failures.

Candidates should be able to drive to job sites, operate shop tools, and participate in preventive maintenance. This position may involve some supervisory duties and night or disaster response as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals to diagnose and repair issues.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and operate standard maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment and notify Director of major machinery failures.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment and diagnose malfunctions.
• Keep record of maintenance and repair work performed; maintain clean and lubricated machinery parts.
• Determine when subcontractors are needed for major maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
