Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repair work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and related building systems at educational facilities. The role requires diagnosing machine malfunctions, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for needed repairs.

The candidate will assist with grounds and facilities maintenance and may supervise maintenance staff as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with building automation and preventive maintenance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, and replace filters.
• Operate school equipment including trucks, lifts, and other maintenance gear.
• Perform painting, carpentry, and minor concrete repairs as needed.
• Assist with grounds and equipment maintenance and supervision of maintenance staff.
