Job summary

Simon Property Group at South Hills Village Mall seeks a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, performing minor repairs, maintaining logs and tools, and coordinating with Marketing and Leasing for events. The role requires 2–3 years of building maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience performing carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing functions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions.
• Paint, electrical, plumbing, and drywall skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Capability to diagnose problems on equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems.
• Knowledge of safety rules and accident prevention measures.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes repairs to mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, plus structural elements.
• Performs maintenance/minor repairs on interior/exterior areas including painting, drywall, lighting, and related tasks.
• Operates equipment to perform preventive maintenance and keeps area clean.
• Assist Marketing and Local Leasing with events, carts placement and repair.
• Adheres to OSHA standards and maintains safe working environment.
• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance programs as assigned.
