Job summary

Simon Property Group Gloucester Premium Outlets is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, and perform routine upkeep of interior and exterior areas. The role supports events, property safety and compliance, with a requirement for reading plans, independent work, and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training and growth opportunities are available at a premier retail center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical school certifications and/or training preferred.
• 2–3 years building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Ability to present information to management, tenants and outside contacts.
• Paint, electrical, plumbing and drywall skills.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Diagnose problems on equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems.
• Knowledge of safety rules and accident prevention measures.
• Knowledge of fire protection hydraulic systems and fire alarm systems.
• Able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems and structural elements.
• Perform maintenance/minor repairs on interior/exterior areas including painting, drywall, lighting and related tasks.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and minor repairs; maintain cleanliness of property.
• Assist Marketing with events and Local Leasing with cart placement and repair.
• Follow OSHA and other regulations to promote a safe working environment.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance programs as directed.
• Maintain inventories, records, MSDS, supplies and tools.
• Periodically inspect air handling units, belts, filters and grease components.
• Maintain exterior custodial duties as needed.
• Handle trash, operate compactor and trash carts.
• May perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
