Job summary

Olympia Hospitality is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure reliable operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role emphasizes proactive repairs, safety compliance, and responsiveness to guest and staff requests.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general building maintenance experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Trade training or vocational certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify issues and implement repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management and prioritize tasks by urgency and impact on operations.
• Inspect and test building systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting, elevators, generators) for safety compliance.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
