Job summary

Eden II Program is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair agency sites, and support preventative maintenance plans across multiple locations in New York. The role requires readiness for after-hours snow/ice work to keep sites safe for participants and staff.

You'll act as the liaison with outside vendors, participate in fire drills, and supervise fire alarm systems at NYC sites. A valid license and 5+ years in maintenance/ construction are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving history.
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience in maintenance/construction.
• Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures & techniques.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, drywall and carpentry.
• Hold/willing to obtain FDNY Certificates of Fitness (F-07 and S-95).
• Oversight of overtime work as required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair agency sites following scheduled plans.
• Assist facilities management with preventative maintenance planning.
• Provide snow removal to ensure site safety.
• Serve as contact for outside vendors at agency sites.
• Conduct fire drills and supervise fire alarm systems at NYC sites.
