Job summary

Big SNOW seeks a heavy-machinery mechanic to maintain lifts and related equipment at our year-round indoor resort in East Rutherford, NJ. You will perform daily inspections, troubleshoot diesel and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety across aerial and surface lifts, snowmaking, and HVAC equipment.

This on-site role requires 1–3 years of lift maintenance experience, electrical knowledge, and the ability to work in 28-degree environments while coordinating with the team to deliver safe, reliable

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Electrical knowledge and experience required.
• 1–3 years as a mechanically savvy lift maintenance helper or lift operator.
• Knowledge of metric and standard tools.
• Able to work in 28-degree temperatures for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate fixed grip, aerial, surface, and conveyer lifts.
• Troubleshoot and assist with snowcat, lift, and snowmaking maintenance and repair.
• Operate snowcat for maintenance testing.
• Perform daily inspections of snowmaking and cooling systems.
