Job summary

Catholic Charities Family and Community Services in New York seeks a facilities maintenance professional to support safe, clean, and compliant Agency facilities across sites.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, coordinated repairs, and collaboration with staff to foster a trauma-informed care environment. Requires a valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation for site travel.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience required. Candidates must have mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with energy management systems; Access Control Systems; IT wiring and Monitoring/Camera Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe and secure Agency facilities.
• Make repairs as directed by Supervisor.
• Monitor and report property damage to Agency facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and repair of buildings including windows, flooring, and appliances.
• Oversee contractors/vendors for quality and adherence to contracts.
• Carry out janitorial duties as needed and assist with setups for meetings and events.
• Provide task worksheets to the supervisor daily and weekly.
• Participate in staff meetings and training; support the Agency’s Mission and Core Competencies.
