Job summary

Project Renewal is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our New York City buildings across multiple sites.

The role is hands-on and requires skilled maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. You will support Facility leadership and Building Managers, respond to emergencies, and help keep our facilities in excellent condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of building maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in English required; second language preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Strong maintenance, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, functionality, and appearance across multiple sites.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs and general upkeep.
• Coordinate with Facility leadership and Building Managers on repairs.
• Complete work orders and respond to scheduled and emergency needs.
• Assist in painting, unit turnovers, and other duties as assigned.
• Comply with DOHMH and OSHA safety guidelines.
