Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform routine building maintenance across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related tasks. You'll inspect, repair and help maintain equipment and facilities in a fast-paced setting, with on-call coverage 24/7 and shift differential.

This role requires physical ability, ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, work in extreme temperatures and high-noise environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push/lift 75 pounds and climb ladders.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures and high-noise environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
• Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
• Change HVAC filters and perform routine maintenance
• Prepare classrooms for events and move furniture
• On-call maintenance for facilities, 24/7
• Oversee daily trash removal and restroom cleaning
