Job summary

Oklahoma School for the Deaf (OSD) in Sulphur is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Techn to perform building construction, maintenance, and repairs on state property. The role requires experience in the building trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds upkeep, with some travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, methods, tools and equipment used in building and maintenance trades.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Safe work practices and safety precautions in trade work.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry work for building renovation or construction; erects scaffolds and repairs fixtures.
• Maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures and minor equipment.
• Maintains and repairs lighting, electrical components and HVAC systems where not license-required.
• Operates and maintains equipment used in construction and grounds maintenance.
