Job summary

Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur is seeking a Housekeeping/Custodial Worker to maintain sanitation across multiple buildings, including classrooms, offices, gym and auditorium. Qualifications

• Six months experience in building or institutional custodial work.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of chemical product safety.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, wash, vacuum, wax, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize laboratories, washrooms and bedrooms; stock washrooms with supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash; move furniture and equipment as needed.
• Perform sanitary inspections for infection control.
• Order and distribute custodial supplies; maintain inventory.
• Assist in training and continued education of lower level workers.
• Plan, assign and supervise all housekeeping functions; inspect quarters for standards.
• Maintain records and prepare reports; assist with budget planning.
