Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Port Reading, NJ to keep the club safe, clean, and fully operational. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs for fitness equipment and facilities to ensure a high-quality member experience.

You will work closely with club management, handle work orders, and uphold Planet Fitness brand standards. The role is full-time with a flexible schedule and on-call requirements to support ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational Planet Fitness club.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for cardio equipment, strength equipment, tanning beds, HydroMassage units, and other amenities.
• Maintain HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, doors, locks, flooring, ceiling tiles, and walls.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
