Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in assigned facilities. You will perform inspections and repairs, ensure safety, and coordinate with outside vendors while maintaining clean, safe work environments.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and a technical training program is desirable, with three years of building repair experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required
• Technical training desirable with a minimum of three years in building repair/maintenance
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong communication skills
• English communication required
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently or on a team
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization
• Certifications in applicable skills preferred
• Experience with standard office equipment preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office in Windows environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Perform interior and exterior repairs, lighting, walls, and flooring
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with vendors as needed
• Maintain lighting bulbs and ballasts; assist with building repairs
• Communicate status of work and ensure safe, efficient execution
• Move and install furniture and equipment; assist with general maintenance
• Document work using the work order system and track materials
