Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, and structures in our residential programs. The role emphasizes safety, ticket tracking, and timely reporting of issues across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and general maintenance knowledge are required.
• At least 2 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Basic computer literacy and adaptability with tools.
• Flexible schedule with willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Keeps grounds in good condition and free of litter and foreign objects.
• Reports malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement teams as requested.
• Maintains maintenance tickets and notifies supervisors of special needs.
• Operates and repairs electrical systems and machinery as required.
• Dismantles and repairs equipment; installs new parts.
• Cleans, lubricates, and maintains mechanical components.
• Maintains a safe environment and secure tools/equipment.
• Assists in set-up/dismantling of event equipment.
