Job summary

Boviet Solar is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain building systems and infrastructure across its U.S. facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs to keep operations safe and efficient.

The role requires hands-on work with plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, using hand and power tools and measuring devices. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations are required.

Qualifications

About the Role:

The Facilities Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems and infrastructure within our facilities across the United States. This position is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and plumbing issues, and executing repairs to maintain a safe and efficient environment. The Facilities Technician will work closely with the maintenance team to uphold facility standards, minimize downtime, and support operational continuity. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing general maintenance tasks, utilizing a variety of tools and measuring devices to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. Ultimately, the Facilities Technician contributes to the overall functionality and safety of the facility, supporting the organization's mission and operational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in plumbing and general facility maintenance.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely and effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to comprehend and interpret technical instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple facility locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in facility maintenance or related technical field.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
