Job summary

E3 Recruiting is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support building operations in Quincy, MA. The role involves maintenance of MEP and Life Safety systems, preventive checks, and tenant-focused services to ensure smooth daily operations.

The position requires hands-on skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work with contractors and management to maintain safety and performance of building systems. On-site duties may include after-hours calls as part of an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on maintenance.
• Familiarity with MEP and Life Safety systems and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with maintenance and operation of MEP and Life Safety systems.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of critical equipment and building areas.
• Perform patching, painting, and general upkeep of common areas and mechanical spaces.
• Replace air filters, belts, lamps, and other basic components; escalate ballast replacements as needed.
• Complete light plumbing repairs (faucets, soap dispensers, toilets, restroom partitions).
• Respond promptly and professionally to tenant work order requests.
• Communicate clearly with tenants and management to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Escort and oversee outside contractors to ensure work meets building standards and safety requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours building emergencies.
