Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Flushing, NY. This on-site role requires hands-on maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC upkeep, and safety compliance.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and on-demand repairs while documenting work in CMMS and coordinating with management. Strong tools knowledge and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong communication for reporting and escalation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to work orders across mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting client operations.
• Handle interior maintenance tasks (moving furniture, hanging items, etc.).
• Maintain HVAC systems: clean coils, replace filters/belts, routine checks.
• Replace lighting fixtures and ballasts for proper illumination.
• Complete hazard assessments and maintain safe work areas; follow safety protocols.
• Submit daily receipts and update work orders in CMMS; conduct vehicle safety inspections.
• Attend safety meetings and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
