Job summary

Mason PUD 3 in Shelton, WA is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a broad range of maintenance, repair, safety, and upkeep tasks for district buildings, grounds, and facilities.

The role offers a 4-day work week (10 hours per day) with competitive salary and 100% employer-paid medical coverage, sick leave, and retirement matching funds. Candidates should be able to operate tools and vehicles and coordinate with staff on projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Washington state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• Punctuality and regular attendance essential.
• Aerial lift certification preferred but not required.
• Additional construction-related certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on District buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.
• Assist with various construction projects as needed.
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, and other outdoor spaces including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, weed control, irrigation, pressure washing, and related activities.
• Move and assemble furniture, shelving, equipment, materials and supplies as needed.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and equipment used in facilities and grounds maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with Facilities staff and other District personnel to support the maintenance and operation of District facilities.
• Help coordinate work performed by student workers assisting with landscaping, cleaning, and other duties.
