Job summary

ProAmpac in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. You will assist with breakdowns, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems, and maintain CMMS records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems is a plus
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or equipment repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment quickly in a production environment
• Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial machinery preferred
• Exposure to PLCs or automated systems is a plus, but not required and not a primary focus of the role
• Experience with CMMS or work order systems preferred
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on urgency and practical solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive maintenance environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, climbing, etc.)
• Strong teamwork mindset with a safety-first attitude

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment breakdowns and restore machines safely
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues with guidance
• Assist with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems used in production equipment
• Diagnose and resolve basic day-to-day equipment issues with guidance
• Complete work orders and prioritizing tasks based on production needs
• Work with experienced technicians and production staff to identify and resolve equipment problems
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS or work order systems
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Learn plant equipment, systems, and maintenance processes while developing more advanced skills
• Identify potential equipment issues and communicate them to the maintenance team
