Job summary

Mason PUD 3 is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to service District buildings, grounds, and facilities. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and a team-first approach to maintenance, repair, and upkeep.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and landscaping equipment.
• Maintain District facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required and maintained.
• Valid Washington state driver's license with a good driving record.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
• Aerial lift certification is preferred but not required.
• Additional construction-related certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on District buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.
• Assist with various construction projects as needed.
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, and outdoor spaces including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, weed control, irrigation, and related activities.
• Move and assemble furniture, shelving, equipment, materials and supplies as needed.
• Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and equipment used in facilities and grounds maintenance, including tractors, mowers, RTVs, and similar equipment.
• Work collaboratively with Facilities staff and other District personnel to support the maintenance and operation of District facilities.
• Help coordinate work performed by student workers assisting with landscaping, cleaning, and other duties.
