Odyssey House in New York City is seeking a Maintenance Worker to handle renovations, safety code adherence, and management of facility emergencies. You will perform daily cleaning, housekeeping, and respond to work orders to keep living spaces in good condition.

The role requires at least two years of NYC building experience, a valid NYC Fire Department Certificate of Fitness, and a flexible on-call schedule. Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook and a NY driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Must have 2+ years in a NYC building, preferably in a residential social service setting.
• Must have a valid NYC Fire Department Certificate of Fitness.
• NY Driver's License is highly preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Daily house run to assess facility condition relative to standards.
• Maintenance of plumbing, electricity, heating and wiring.
• Emergency and minor repairs completed timely.
• Respond to resident work orders promptly.
• Ensure apartments are well maintained and clean.
• Inspect living quarters before arrivals and correct deficiencies.
