Job summary

Project FIND in New York is seeking a Maintenance Worker responsible for upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of the building and designated areas. This role involves floor care, basic repairs, and assisting with unit turnover to ensure spaces are move-in ready.

The position requires physical work, familiarity with tools and floor machines, and the ability to work across multiple sites with some holiday flexibility. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus 2–4 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with hand and electrical devices.
• Experience with floor machines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to read technical manuals/drawings.
• Willingness to travel between local sites.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the building, floors, and furniture.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors.
• Manage trash, garbage rooms, and sanitation.
• Move-in ready turnover of units.
• Repair minor damages (locks, walls, plaster).
• Clean elevator cabs, hallways, and storage areas.
• Prepare rooms for painting and upkeep of common areas.
• Assist with room staging and furniture installation.
