Job summary

The Salvation Army in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform cleaning, minor repairs, and safe operation of building and grounds equipment. Responsibilities include floor care, restroom cleaning, outside maintenance, and setup for meetings or events.

You will drive as needed, operate basic tools, and assist with special projects. Requires a high school diploma and 2+ years’ maintenance experience; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance or construction.
• Driver’s license from state of residence; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip and wax floors and clean restrooms and offices.
• Provide minor maintenance with power tools; report major repairs.
• Perform outside maintenance: snow removal, lawn care, landscaping.
• Move furniture for meetings and set up spaces as required.
• Operate vehicles or forklifts; assist with loading/unloading pallets.
• Inspect safety devices and report deficiencies; maintain equipment.
• Support special projects and events; fabricate simple parts if needed.
