Job summary

FirstService Residential in Pensacola, FL is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician Associate to help keep the propertys mechanical systems and common areas in top condition. Youll inspect floors, perform repairs across drywall, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and flooring, and follow strict safety protocols.

Excellent teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
• Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong maintenance and repair skills, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electricity.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine walking inspections of floors to identify problems and report them to supervisors.
• Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
• Performs maintenance repairs in common areas such as drywall, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other general
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• While following safety procedures, performs casual labor as directed by supervisors.
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit is not required to conduct the job.
• Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
• Routine Inspections: Routinely walk floors, including the roof, to check for problems and lights out, and report findings to supervisors.
• Building Staff Relations: Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with building staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Work Order Completion: Complete daily work orders as scheduled, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance.
• Casual Labor: Properly perform casual labor tasks, such as lifting and moving heavy items, as directed by supervisors, following appropriate safety procedures.
• Equipment Utilization: Properly utilize new equipment, following all safety procedures prior to and during use to ensure safe and effective operation.
