Job summary

FirstService Residential in Florida is seeking a Maintenance Technician Associate to support property operations. You will inspect floors, perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and related systems, and help keep common areas clean and safe.

This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits, a 40-hour work week, and opportunities for hands-on repair work in a fast-paced environment. Pool experience preferred; CPO certification desired.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
• Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong maintenance and repair skills, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electricity.
• CPO Certification
• 2-3 years pool experience

Responsibilities

• Performs routine walking inspections of floors to identify problems and report them to supervisors.
• Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
• Performs maintenance repairs in common areas such as drywall, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other general tasks.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Follows safety procedures while assisting with moving heavy items as directed by supervisors.
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs where a permit is not required.
• Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
• Other duties as needed.
