Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician Associate to support property operations. The role involves ensuring mechanical systems and equipment are functional and common areas are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and disinfected.

The candidate will perform repairs across drywall, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and related tasks while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong maintenance and repair skills including painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.
• Boating safety class preferred.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine walking inspections of floors to identify problems and report them.
• Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
• Performs maintenance repairs in common areas (drywall, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, pool, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other general maintenance).
• Ensures safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Performs casual labor as directed by supervisors while following safety procedures.
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair in various trades as long as a permit is not required.
• Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Other duties as needed.
