Job summary

FirstService Residential in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician Associate to support property operations. You will ensure that building systems and equipment are operational and that common areas are well-maintained, clean, and safe.

Key duties include walking floor inspections, performing repairs across drywall, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and flooring, and adhering to safety protocols while delivering reliable service to residents and property teams.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
• Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong maintenance and repair skills, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electricity.
• Customer service experience required.
• Boating experience with boater's safety class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine walking inspections of floors to identify problems and report them.
• Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
• Performs maintenance repairs in the common areas (drywall, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, pool, plumbing, painting, flooring).
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed.
• Performs casual labor as directed by supervisors.
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring without permit.
• Must be able to use new equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Other duties as needed.
