Job summary

Homestead Post Acute is seeking a maintenance worker to keep the grounds, facility, and equipment in safe, efficient condition according to federal, state, and local standards and our policies. You will follow maintenance schedules, report incidents, and coordinate daily services with nursing staff.

This role requires the ability to perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, maintain cleanliness, and uphold resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work with residents, staff, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment following schedules and established policies.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor, including minor ones.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when working in resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance/repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical tasks as directed.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored and maintain resident confidentiality as required.
