Job summary

Harbourwood Post-Acute and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform general property maintenance, grounds care, and preventive maintenance of medical and facility equipment. The role requires basic repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems while maintaining service records.

You will conduct rounds on assigned units, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with the maintenance director for external assistance when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care preferred.
• Understanding of physical plant repairs, preventive maintenance, and grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of the property, including grounds and physical plant.
• Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and hardware as needed.
• Maintain records of medical equipment service and preventive maintenance.
• Complete inspections and follow safety codes; coordinate with maintenance director.
• Provide and document emergency maintenance and external assistance as needed.
• Perform rounds to identify repairs on assigned units.
