POSITION TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO: General Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: None

COMPENSATION: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour DOE

Purpose

The Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems to ensure smooth facility operations and a positive member experience. The role requires engagement, organization, diligence, and excellent customer service skills.

Deliverables

• Communication: Provide daily updates and work documentation to the General Manager, seeking feedback on work quality and maintenance needs.
• Scheduling & Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager to schedule, deploy, and verify completion of maintenance tasks.
• Inspection and Testing: Regularly inspect and test equipment and systems for proper functioning.
• Safety: Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections and perform preventive maintenance using the CMMS system.
• Repairs: Address issues with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Work Orders: Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and codes.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and supplies; update work orders daily.
• Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain cardio, weight, and general workout equipment, including assembly and refurbishing.
• Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work with management, contractors, and vendors as needed.
• General Upkeep: Perform tasks like patching, painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
