Position Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Reports To: General Manager

Direct Reports: None

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour DOE

Purpose

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems, ensuring safety and operational efficiency to enhance member experience. The role requires organization, diligence, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

1. Communication: Provide daily updates to the General Manager and document work performed.
2. Scheduling & Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager to schedule and verify work completion.
3. Inspection and Testing: Regularly inspect and test equipment and systems.
4. Safety: Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions.
6. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance per CMMS system.
7. Repairs: Fix issues with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
8. Work Orders: Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
9. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and building codes.
10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and update work orders daily.
11. Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and test building systems for performance.
12. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain gym equipment, assemble new equipment, and refurbish as needed.
13. Emergency Response: Address urgent issues promptly.
14. Team Collaboration: Work with management, contractors, and vendors.
15. General Upkeep: Perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks.
