Position Description

Position Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Reports To: General Manager

Direct Reports: None

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour DOE

Purpose

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems to ensure smooth facility operations and enhance member experience. The ideal candidate is engaging, diligent, organized, results-driven, and customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily updates and work progress to the General Manager, documenting completed work.
• Coordinate with the General Manager to schedule and verify work completion.
• Inspect and test equipment and systems for proper functioning.
• Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as outlined in the CMMS system.
• Respond promptly to work requests and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Monitor and test building systems for performance.
• Perform general upkeep including painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

Relevant experience and skills as outlined in the detailed responsibilities are preferred. The position is entry-level, full-time, within the health, wellness, and fitness industry.
