POSITION TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO: General Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: None

COMPENSATION: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour DOE

Purpose

Our Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment and systems within a facility. Our Maintenance Technicians ensure proper execution of health, safety, and operations procedures to improve our member experience. This role ensures that the facility's operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The Maintenance Technician is engaging, diligent, organized, and results-driven. The ideal candidate is a great collaborator with excellent customer service skills.

Deliverables

The deliverables for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Communication: Provide verbal daily updates to the General Manager and document work completed. Update the work to the General Manager and seek feedback on work quality and maintenance needs.
• Scheduling & Planning: Work with the General Manager to schedule, deploy work, and verify completion.
• Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test equipment, systems, and components to ensure proper functioning.
• Safety: Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections and perform preventive maintenance as outlined in the CMMS system.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Work Orders: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory. Input all work orders into the CMMS and provide daily updates.
• Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and test building systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cardio, weight, and general workout equipment, including assembling, painting, and refurbishing.
• Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the General Manager, District Manager, contractors, and vendors.
• General Upkeep: Perform tasks like patching, painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
