Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, a family-owned transportation and distribution company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support property assets across ADP locations.

The role emphasizes safe building repairs, preventive maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting. Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and related systems; operating forklifts and access platforms; routine inspections; and coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (required).
• Clean, verifiable driving record (MVR) (preferred).
• Self-motivated, self-starter with technical aptitude.
• Experience in facilities maintenance: mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, welding.
• Gas/oil burners and hydraulics experience beneficial.
• Willing to travel to other ADP facilities as requested.
• Experience in forklift repair and service.
• Proficient with MS Windows-based PCs and mobile devices.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe building repairs and preventative maintenance (electrical, electronics, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry).
• Troubleshoot routine electrical, burglar and fire protection systems.
• Maintain facilities components (dock plates, doors, pumps, HVAC filters, roofs, etc.).
• Maintain grounds (lawn, landscaping, snow removal).
• Operate forklifts, aerial work platforms, and other equipment.
• Conduct visual inspections of fire suppression devices, lighting, and OSHA-related items.
• Respond to after-hours or emergency calls as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage documentation for facilities.

Position Summary

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Safe performance of applicable building repairs and preventative maintenance (electrical, electronics, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) as assigned
• Maintaining /troubleshooting routine electrical/burg/fire protection systems, devices, etc.
• Maintaining commercial/industrial property components including but not limited to dock plates, overhead doors, fire pumps, fire suppression systems, HVAC filter & belt maintenance, domestic water systems, snow scraping devices, roofs and similar structures, UST/AST and delivery systems, truck./car and man gates and fencing, painting, cleaning, etc.
• Maintain company property grounds which may include but not limited to lawn care, landscaping, asphaltic and concrete surfaces, snow plowing/shoveling
• Willingness/ability to operate forklifts, aerial work platforms and other operating equipment
• Willingness/ability to perform property/facility visual inspections to include fire suppression devices, lighting, ingress/egress, OSHA
• Willingness/ability to answer/respond to after-hours/emergency calls at responsible property locations
• Willingness/ability to work in conjunction and/or supervise vendor managed performance, in a support role
• Maintaining and organizing files/documentation for applicable facilities in paper or electronic format

Qualifications

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Clean, verifiable driving record (MVR)
• Self-Motivated, Self-Starter
• Verifiable skills in Facilities Maintenance arenaSkills required include mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, welding
• Experience with gas/oil burners and hydraulics are beneficial
• Willing/able to travel to other ADP facilities, as requested
• Experience in Forklift repair and service
• Ability to use technology devices such as MS Windows based PC's, laptops or similar, as well as Apple or Android type handheld devices such as iPhone, iPad, or similar devices
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; MS Office experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Must be able to walk long distances, over diverse terrain, for long periods
• Must be able to climb ladders, work at height, or roofs when required
• Sitting at desk for long periods of time
• Viewing PC monitor and using keyboard for long periods of time
• Using telephone
