Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a terminal leadership role focused on managing teams and optimizing delivery operations across our Northeast network. You will oversee terminal staff, implement policies, and drive safety and efficiency in routing and loading activities.

The role emphasizes supervision, training, route planning, and adherence to DOT regulations, with a strong focus on performance reporting and employee development.

Qualifications

• Terminal, transportation, or warehouse experience required.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage terminal employees and the ERP system to ensure timely and efficient customer deliveries.
• Teach and develop policies and procedures within the Pyle Culture as part of the terminal leadership team.
• Develop the workforce by setting clear expectations, training, coaching, and providing feedback.
• Perform employee reviews and document corrective action as needed.
• Participate in interview and hire processes and provide feedback on hiring decisions.
• Build pickup and delivery routes in the ERP system to ensure operational efficiency and meet delivery expectations.
• Ensure unloading/loading processes are followed and train for safety.
• Review load plans and HAZMAT loading to ensure driver safety and DOT compliance.
• Ensure shipments are manifested and stowed properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Generate and maintain reports to support dock operations.
• Be accountable for Pyle Priority Shipments within the operation.

• Manage terminal employees and the ERP system to ensure timely and efficient customer deliveries.

• Develop the workforce by setting clear expectations, training, coaching, and providing feedback.
• Perform employee reviews and document corrective action as needed.
• Participate in interview and hire processes and provide constructive feedback on hiring decisions.
• Build pickup and delivery routes in the Pyle ERP system by assigning delivery stops within geographic areas to ensure operational efficiency and meet customer delivery expectations.
• Ensure all unloading and loading processes are followed; provide training to ensure safety for all employees.
• Review load plans and HAZMAT loading to ensure driver safety and DOT requirements.
• Ensure shipments are manifested and stowed properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Generate and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that support dock operations.
• Be accountable for Pyle Priority Shipments within the operation.

Qualifications

• Terminal, transportation, or warehouse experience; dispatch or routing experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and organizational skills.
• Ability to display a sense of urgency and work under pressure with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to work first, second, or third shifts as requested.
