Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a versatile Utilities Worker to perform facility maintenance, repairs, and light construction across assigned sites. The role covers plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic carpentry tasks, with occasional custodial duties.

You will inspect facilities, coordinate routine maintenance, set up conference rooms, assist with events, and respond to emergencies. The position requires a high school diploma, physical fitness to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Knowledgeofgeneralcarpentry and maintenance as well as basic plumbing.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building repairs not requiring a licensed trade.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and surfaces to identify maintenance, repair, or replacement needs.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance; vacuuming and mopping floors.
• Restocks supplies and manage janitorial closets; replenish paper goods and soap.
• Supports movement of materials and escorts cash deposits; maintain logs.
• Sets up conference rooms for meetings and events.
• Responds to facility emergencies and notifies staff after hours.
• May perform additional duties; evenings, weekends, holidays possible.
• Sorts and prepares mail for pickup and outgoing mail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
