Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense Business is seeking a reliable maintenance worker to perform essential upkeep across the facility, including repairs and cleaning. The ideal candidate will bring solid technical knowledge and experience, with an eye for detail and reliability.

The position requires performing tasks from minor fixes to preventive maintenance, coordinating with the facilities team, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker or similar role.
• Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience with hand and electrical tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• General passion for creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes such as ceiling tiles and lightbulb replacements.
• Install necessary equipment as needed.
• Check system controls and critical systems and log information.
• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting and mopping.
• Complete regular maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance requests.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
• Test functionality of the facility’s safety systems.
• Report issues to facilities or maintenance manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
