Job summary

The Phoenix at Lake Lanier, part of Phoenix Senior Living, is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to join their team. The role focuses on routine upkeep, minor repairs, and collaborating with the Facilities Director.

Shift is Mon-Fri with every other weekend required. Education: high school diploma, 1 year related experience. The ideal candidate embraces assisted living philosophy and can multitask and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Experience in assisted living or healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance log daily and complete tasks in scope; initial and date each task.
• Inspect furniture and arrange maintenance; schedule cleanings with vendors.
• Perform minor repairs (plumbing, fixtures, locks) and basic maintenance.
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks in suites/offices.
• Liaise with Facilities Director, Executive Director and vendors.
• Touch up paint, move furniture, transport materials for disposal.
• Follow cleaning chemical and power equipment procedures; avoid damage.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpet; adjust HVAC filters as needed.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs or system additions.
• Assist with safety and compliance as required.
