Job summary

Phoenix Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to support maintenance and upkeep at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier. The role includes minor repairs, vendor coordination, and basic facility services to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience. Weekend availability and strong communication are essential for delivering peak service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of related maintenance or facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Review the maintenance log daily and complete tasks within scope; initial and date each task.
• Inspect furniture and schedule cleaning with vendors.
• Perform minor repairs (faucet, latches, toilet parts, wiring, lighting) and general maintenance.
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks and other items in resident suites and offices.
• Act as liaison with Facilities Director, Executive Director and vendors.
• Touch up paint, refinish furniture, move furniture and transport materials for disposal.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and fixtures.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Adjust heating, cooling and ventilation systems including filters.
• Gather and empty trash and remove debris from porches, parking lots and dumpster areas.
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs or additions via maintenance log.
