Job summary

The Phoenix at Lake Lanier is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Director in maintaining the community. The role covers routine repairs, inspections, and coordinating with vendors to keep common areas, suites, and equipment in excellent condition.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience. Weekend, evening, and flexible hours are required to meet peak service times; a customer-focused mindset and good

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of job-related experience required.
• Ability to work weekends/evenings and flexible hours.
• Understanding of infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review the maintenance log daily and complete tasks.
• Inspect furniture and coordinate maintenance with vendors.
• Perform minor repairs (plumbing, lighting, fixtures) as needed.
• Hang bulletin boards and install fixtures in suites/offices.
• Coordinate with Facilities Director, Executive Director and vendors.
• Touch up paint, refinish furniture and move items as required.
• Follow safety procedures for cleaners and power equipment.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpet.
• Adjust heating, cooling and ventilation as needed.
• Gather and empty trash; remove debris from outdoor areas.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs via maintenance log.
