Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a dependable Maintenance Mechanic to support the Facilities Management Department. The role focuses on light maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance across the Richmond location, reporting to the Building Services Supervisor.

You will perform furniture installations, conduct inspections, troubleshoot non-complex equipment, and assist with document transport for shredding while ensuring OSHA compliance and accurate time tracking using the work

Qualifications

• Experience in furniture installation for multiple brands (e.g., Enhanced 9000, Steelcase, Montage, Knoll).
• Experience in handling and operating pressure washing equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with personal computers and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation of simple office furniture apparatus, room setups for conferences, meetings and events.
• Conduct scheduled inspections for service and preventive maintenance on non-complex safety and operational equipment and fixtures.
• Performs routine troubleshooting and repairs to non-complex accessories and fixtures throughout the facility.
• Transportation of confidential documents for shredding.
• Snow/ice removal and inclement weather clean up.
• Tasks recorded in the work order system after completion.
