Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Trades Specialist II for its Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. This role is full-time, 1st shift on weekdays, with pay range listed and benefits eligibility.

The position requires performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting in the upkeep of building systems under supervision, while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Advanced training beyond High School including technical training.
• 2-4 years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
• Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed.
• Operates and monitors basic Utility System Infrastructure.
• Assists in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
• Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
• Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.
