Job summary

The Charlotte is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to assist in maintaining campus buildings, grounds and equipment, under the supervision of the Director of Facility Services.

This on-site role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to perform preventative and emergency maintenance, and strong safety and confidentiality standards to support residents and staff.

Occasional travel for training and on-call duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or maintenance experience required.
• Two years’ painting and housing/refurbishment experience desired.
• Two years’ experience in a similar maintenance position desired.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Represents the campus in a positive manner and promotes safety and well-being for residents and staff.
• Restores vacant units to like-new condition.
• Performs maintenance repairs on equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Assists in preventive maintenance programs and logs information.
• Coordinates with vendors, contractors, and corporate office as needed.
