Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Tech II for the Durham, NC area on 1st shift. Typical hours are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime, weekends, and holidays potentially required.

Responsibilities include inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks across various facilities and equipment. Responsibilities also cover diagnosing malfunctions, preventive maintenance in CMMS, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• One year of experience maintaining buildings, facilities, or equipment in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read and use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
• Must demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work from an aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 feet or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with industrial facility system repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose malfunctions in production machinery and equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems such as overhead door systems, pumps, piping, seals and valves.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the CMMS.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE as required.
• Operate a variety of hand tools and ensure flexible scheduling to meet customer needs.
