Job summary

Nordstrom is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help deliver a safe, well-maintained store environment across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist in monitoring building systems, and develop skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with at least 1 year of related experience or training.
• Basic working knowledge across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC).
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, schematics, or blueprints and use work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to on-demand requests on the Sales Floor.
• Inspect facilities with daily rounds and assist in basic repairs of building systems.
• Follow safety rules, document maintenance, and escalate issues when needed.
• Operate and maintain lighting and electrical systems, and use manuals and schematics to troubleshoot.
