Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems at a Life Science facility in Framingham, MA. The role requires hands-on work across trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and lighting maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position supports operations in a fast-paced environment, with training on codes, regulations, and building standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Valid Driver License.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs+ and climbing stairs/ladders.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in job execution.
• Good communication skills to share straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, systems, equipment and grounds.
• Use multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall patch, doors & locks.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and safety requirements.
• Complete day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; maintain records.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, and order supplies.
• Assist with installation/modification of building equipment systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting and building inspections for code compliance.
• Maintain lighting systems and replace bulbs/lamps.
• Perform carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate with others as required.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned.
