Job summary

The City of El Segundo is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in the upkeep and repair of City buildings and facilities. You will oversee custodial, maintenance, and repair work, coordinating with other divisions and engineers on CIP projects to ensure timely, compliant completion.

The role requires strong supervision, budgeting, and coordination skills, along with knowledge of building systems and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Four years of building and facility maintenance experience, incl. electrical, HVAC, plumbing.
• One year of supervisory or leadwork experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise and participate in maintenance of City facilities and buildings.
• Evaluate service needs, requisition supplies, hire contractors, and monitor costs.
• Supervise staff, train, schedule and discipline as needed.
• Coordinate with City engineers and other departments on facility-related CIP projects.
