Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Henderson, NV to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across common areas, grounds, and units, ensuring safety and quality. The role handles resident work orders, inspections, and coordination with vendors to maintain Greystar’s high standards.

The position requires HVAC knowledge where applicable, tool proficiency, driving a golf cart on property, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by state law; know safe use of tools and equipment.
• Strong reading, writing and communication to interact with residents and team.
• Able to interpret policies and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues from resident service requests following safety standards.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant units and schedule vendors.
• Set cleanliness/appearance standards for grounds, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by others and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, order supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance tasks and support budget planning.
• Assist in cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Lead safety meetings and stay current on OSHA and related requirements.
• Provide courteous, responsive resident and team support and communication.
